There was a time where i thought we were done. The label, the music, everything. Fae was recovering from multiple strokes and i didn't know if she was going to be okay or not. She was resting and there was nothing i could do but sit alone with the thoughts picking at me like vultures picking a dead body in the desert. I had to do something to keep the thoughts at bay, so i went through massive amounts of files Fae had been sending me for the past year. Hoping to find something i could use for a farewell album. That's when i stumbled upon an alternate take of the track Desolation we released on Miraka in 2018. After a few days of editing, the first movement had materialized. This 40 minute piece of dark drone ambient brought us a tiny bit of hope. We recorded the third movement together a month later, when Fae was starting to recover. The final piece of the puzzle, the second movement, was created in late September from an old arrangement Fae had made over a decade ago.
